The Art of Taxes, formerly McEwan-Upright & Associates, Inc. began in Monterey, CA when Emily McEwan-Upright established her firm in 2014. Currently, the practice resides in beautiful downtown Gilroy, where Emily McEwan-Upright has built a strong practice in helping small business owners and individuals with their tax and accounting needs. Earning her Enrolled Agent status with the IRS in 2011, Emily is able to do taxes in any state of the country, and is able to represent her clients in front the IRS for any tax issue.   In 2018, Anika Mathewson joined the staff as an Executive Office Manager, while also assisting our clients with payroll and accounting. Specializing in small business, military and complicated IPO/RSU, rental, and partnership returns, The Art of Taxes serves as a boutique, full-service firm. We are a woman owned and operated business, and we look forward to working with you!
